Goodbye & Good Riddance by Juice Wrld

Goodbye & Good Riddance is the debut album by rapper Juice Wrld and was released on May 23, 2018. It was initially released on SoundCloud, but quickly made its way to all streaming platforms. There wasn’t much hype around Juice Wrld initially, as he appeared to be like every other underground SoundCloud rapper, but after I listened to his music I became obsessed. After watching many of his interviews, free styles, music videos, etc. I knew he was going to be huge. Goodbye & Good Riddancee is a breakup record, and at the time that it was released, it was exactly what I needed. I played this album heavily for most of 2018 and 2019. My prediction eventually came true and Juice Wrld blew up. He was best known for his freestyling, often freestyling for very long periods. Once he even freestyle for over an hour straight on an interview, and it is readily watchable on YouTube. Unfortunately, on December 8th of 2019, Juice Wrld passed away at the young age of 21.

“Lucid Dreams” is easily my favorite song off the album. “Lucid Dreams” was the first Juice Wrld song I found and the song that made Juice Wrld blow up. I found “Lucid Dreams” way before it got popular in the mainstream, so it holds a special place in my heart.
