AM by Arctic Monkeys

AM is the fifth studio album by English rock band Arctic Monkey and was released on September 9th of 2013. Upon its release it top charts in several different countries and reached the top tens in many countries. The album received critical acclaim, with critics praising its darker and groovier cound in comparison to the band’s previous records. It was featured in many lists as one of the top albums of 2013 and even won the British Album of the Year. Additionally, it even received a Grammy nomination for Best Rock Performance. This album has songs that I have played countless times, but each with slightly different vibes. I can rock out to some songs like “R U Mine?”, but also relax and vibe out to some slower songs like “No.1 Party Anthem”.

“Do I Wanna Know?” is easily my favorite song on this album. The alternative rock style of this song is extremely captivating and keeps one listening for what will happen next. This is always a go to song for me whenever I am feeling in the alternative rock mood.
